HOLON3D engineers use handheld and camera-based 3D scanners to scan grinders and grinder parts to obtain accurate 3D data for modification design and subsequent quality inspection.

Facing problems

1. The surface of the grinder is convex and has many curved surfaces, so the efficiency of using traditional measuring instruments is very low.

2. The grinding machine parts have a complex structure and have many grooves. Traditional measurement methods are slow and cannot obtain accurate three-dimensional data.

Solution

A grinder is a machine tool that uses abrasive tools to grind the surface of a workpiece. It has many curved surfaces and a complex structure. In response to the problems faced by customers, HOLON3D technical engineers use handheld laser 3D scanners and 3D scanners HL-3DSV+ to quickly obtain high-precision 3D data of grinding machines + reverse design software (convert grinding machine point cloud data into triangular mesh surface data) + Perform post-processing in the design software to speed up the secondary design of the grinder. The processed data can be imported into the detection software to conduct detailed analysis of object features, such as hole position, contour, curvature, etc., and at the same time, it can also capture and reflect the shape and position deviation of the profile. The inspection software can automatically align the measurement data with the coordinate system of the CAD data, thereby achieving rapid comparison inspection and quality control.
