The motorcycle frame is the core structural component of the complete vehicle. It is usually made using materials such as woven steel tubes, aluminum alloy, or carbon fiber, and performs critical functions including supporting the powertrain, maintaining vehicle‑body stability, and transferring loads. Its geometric accuracy has a direct impact on handling performance, safety and durability. Through non‑contact laser measurement, 3D scanning technology can rapidly acquire millions of data points on the frame surface to build a high‑precision three‑dimensional model. This technology overcomes the limitations of traditional checking fixtures. It is especially suitable for the inspection of complex curved‑surface structures and greatly improves the efficiency of quality control.

Physical motorcycle frame
The motorcycle frame is an alloy tubular frame structure with a complex configuration and large curved sections. Traditional measurement methods pose considerable difficulties, making it impossible to quickly acquire 3D model data of the motorcycle frame, and the accuracy of the obtained data fails to meet requirements.
In response to the client's requirements, Holon 3D engineers proposed a solution that uses the industrial‑metrology‑grade 3D Scanner Model49 to rapidly acquire high‑precision 3D data of the motorcycle frame.
1. Affix target markers: This enables the acquired data to be positioned and aligned within the scanning software.
2. 3D scanning: Perform 3D scanning on the motorcycle frame with the 3D scanner. Next, import the data into inspection software for measurement inspection, export an inspection report in PDF format, and analyze the results so as to improve the manufacturing quality of the product.
