The transfer case housing is a key component for mounting and assembling the transfer case. It serves multiple functions including heat dissipation, noise coupling, protection of the transmission mechanism, and containment of lubricating oil. The client requires accurate 3D data for inspection coordination.
There is a need to quickly obtain 3D data, and accurate data is required to support inspection work. The transfer case housing features a complex outline with numerous curved surfaces, making it difficult to acquire accurate and complete data using traditional methods.
Holon engineers use the HOLON B71. With a scanning speed of 2.02 million times per second and an accuracy of up to 0.02 mm, it can quickly acquire 3D data of workpieces, accurately reconstruct surface features and dimensional data. The data can be imported into software for solid modeling to realize fit inspection.
