Aircraft manufacturing not only facilitates travel but also reflects a nation's development and strength. Recently, a prominent domestic aircraft manufacturer required 3D scanning of impellers—critical aircraft engine components—to rapidly acquire high-precision 3D data for R&D within the military aviation sector, as well as for the design and development of new projects.
Aircraft engine impellers are compact yet complex components featuring numerous recessed areas and shadowed zones. The client requires precise, full-scale 3D measurement data with extremely high accuracy; however, the inability to effectively measure the component's irregular curved surfaces prevents proper inspection and measurement, thereby failing to meet the client's requirements.
