A large domestic hydropower enterprise specially invited our technical staff to conduct 3D scanning and analysis of the inner wall of the turbine volute to measure the castings, aiming to improve the product.
1.The inner wall of the water turbine is welded from large castings, with a diameter of over 10 meters and a height of about 4 meters. Traditional measuring tools cannot perform complete scanning and stitching.
2. During the scanning process of the inner wall of the water turbine, due to the large size of the object being measured, the cumulative error can become excessive. How to eliminate the impact of this error is the biggest problem.
In response to the large scanning area of the inner wall of the enterprise's hydraulic turbine and the issues of eliminating cumulative scanning errors and achieving complete stitching, Hualang 3D technology engineers proposed a solution that utilizes: a 3D scanner α7000 to quickly acquire high-precision 3D data of the hydraulic turbine's inner wall + reverse design software to convert the point cloud data of the hydraulic turbine's inner wall into triangular mesh surface data.
