An impeller refers to a wheel disc equipped with moving blades, or collectively to the disc and the rotating blades mounted upon it. Non-uniform gas flow within the impeller tends to accelerate wear; consequently, design and material modifications can be implemented to mitigate the impact of corrosive gases and enhance wear resistance. The client approached us seeking to utilize our 3D scanning technology to acquire data for comparative analysis in subsequent stages of their work.

Relying on traditional scanning methods results in incomplete data when scanning impellers and consumes excessive time and manpower, failing to meet customer demands for high efficiency and quality.
Drawing on our extensive experience, we can quickly devise feasible solutions whenever a client presents a requirement. The process begins by affixing reference markers to the sample part to facilitate positioning and data stitching. Next, we use our HOLON751 handheld 3D scanner to perform a rapid, comprehensive scan; the device offers exceptional scanning speed and high measurement accuracy, making it easy to scan medium-to-large objects. Furthermore, the system provides real-time visualization, allowing the operator to view the area currently being scanned on a computer screen and easily fill in any missed spots—a highly convenient and practical feature.

This enables reverse engineering to repair worn areas and identify specific defects.
