A large‑scale manufacturing enterprise needs to obtain 3D data for truck components. The customer has high precision requirements for the workpiece as well as restrictions on scanning time. Traditional scanning methods (such as photogrammetry‑based 3D scanners and red‑light 3D scanners) feature relatively low accuracy, slow scanning speed and inconvenient operation. The customer requires a more efficient solution.

Facing problems

Since the customer needs to perform dimensional inspection on truck components, relatively complete hole‑position data is required to obtain the corresponding deviations. It is required to quickly and comprehensively acquire high‑precision data and complete the inspection efficiently.

Solution

Use the Model49 handheld industrial 3D scanner to perform comprehensive scanning of truck parts to obtain high‑precision data. The Model49 is equipped with 49 blue laser lines, delivering a scanning accuracy of up to 0.02 mm and a scanning speed of 4,200,000 points/s. Its deep‑hole mode is suitable for scanning deep holes and dead corners, while the ultra‑fine scanning function faithfully reconstructs tiny dimensional data.

Import the acquired data into inspection software for comparative analysis to determine whether deviation values fall within the tolerance range. Easy‑to‑understand inspection reports can be exported to help customers analyze existing problems.
