A high-pressure cleaner is an integrated device that combines a power unit, pump body, piping, and a complex casing. During the development of new products, reverse engineering, or product modification, quickly and comprehensively capturing the 3D data of the whole machine and its parts is key to enabling design iteration and structural optimization. Facing problems

The whole machine includes the frame, engine, pump head, crankcase, and lots of irregular curved surfaces and cavities of varying depths. Traditional manual measurement and CMM probes struggle to reach narrow deep holes and complex channels, resulting in poor data completeness. If you measure point by point, mapping a complete machine that has dozens of parts can take days or even weeks, seriously slowing down the project.

Solution

We use the HOLON 3D scanner, which employs non-contact blue light scanning technology to capture complete 3D data of the entire high-pressure washer and its key components. The scanner has a scanning range of 550*600mm and comes with 34 wide-range scanning laser lines, 14 precision mode lines, and 1 deep-hole line, allowing it to perform detailed scans in narrow areas like pump valve chambers and the inner walls of gun handles. This turns complex surfaces and deep cavity structures into dense point cloud data, with a single-machine scan taking only 15-20 minutes. The high-precision 3D models from the scan can be exported in common formats like STL/OBJ with just one click and directly imported into mainstream 3D design software like UG, Pro/E, and SolidWorks. These models serve as reference data for reverse modeling, structural analysis, or assembly verification, significantly shortening the time from physical object to digital model.
