The air compressor is the main component of an air supply system. It converts the mechanical energy of a prime mover into gas pressure energy and is the device that generates compressed air. A customer wanted to scan air compressor components for reverse engineering and contacted our company. We use advanced 3D measurement methods for 3D scanning and inspection, obtaining high-precision 3D data which is then used as a reference in later work to improve production.

The client had very high requirements for the accuracy of the reverse air compression scanning data. Before contacting our company, the data accuracy obtained using other scanners could not meet their requirements. We utilized our independently developed, innovative new 3D scanner to perform a comprehensive and highly accurate scan of the workpiece, acquiring high-precision 3D data.
To address the issue of shadows forming in blind spots on workpieces, our engineers used the A22 handheld 3D scanner. The A22 was first used to quickly scan and acquire 3D data of the air compressor components, a process that was quick and efficient. The scanner also boasts high single-machine measurement accuracy, resulting in highly precise data acquisition. The acquired 3D data was then processed and analyzed using 3D software.
The client, having observed the entire scanning process, found the scanner convenient and efficient in resolving the problem and was very satisfied with the results. The scanner's overall scanning speed was very fast, the data acquisition was complete, and the scanning effect in details was excellent. The analysis report imported into the 3D software was easy to understand, providing insights into the product's defects. This data comparison improves quality assurance, accelerates work efficiency, and saves resources.
