As core equipment in modern agricultural production, the precision of agricultural machinery components directly affects the overall performance and service life of the machine. A certain agricultural machinery manufacturer commissioned our company to conduct 3D quality inspection of key sheet metal structural components. The aim was to optimize production processes and improve assembly fit through digital technology, thereby enhancing the product's stability and market competitiveness in heavy-duty operating environments.

Facing problems

Agricultural machinery sheet metal parts need to meet high-precision inspection requirements of ±0.05mm. Their surfaces have multiple assembly holes, which are difficult to locate efficiently with traditional calipers and are prone to missed inspections. At the same time, the springback deformation caused by stamping leads to the mismatch of hole groups, which directly affects the assembly accuracy and structural strength of the equipment.

Solution

To address the aforementioned issues, HOLON 3D employs the industrial-grade Smartscan 49 3D scanner for full-size inspection: based on ultra-high-speed scanning technology of 4.2 million points per second, it completes the acquisition of complete sheet metal data within 10 minutes, accurately reproducing the shape of the sheet metal part and the 3D coordinates of all hole positions with a precision of 0.02mm. The equipment automatically captures hidden holes and complex bending features through multi-mode fusion of laser and grating, and directly generates hole position offset vector maps using comparison software, perfectly solving the customer's problem.
